Mayfair Nile Cruise

Arrive in Luxor City and meet a representative at the airport or railway station, then transfer by private air-conditioned vehicle to board the MS Mayfair Nile Cruise. After check-in, enjoy lunch on board and begin discovering ancient Thebes with a guided visit to the East Bank’s most celebrated monuments. Start at the Karnak Temple Complex, exploring the Hypostyle Hall and the Precinct of Amun-Re, along with its obelisks, sanctuaries, and structures built over more than a millennium of devotion. Then visit Luxor Temple, created by Amenhotep III and Ramses II, where Pharaonic heritage blends with later Islamic history. Return to the ship for tea time on the sundeck, followed by dinner and your first overnight stay in Luxor.

After breakfast, cross to Luxor’s West Bank for a day among royal tombs and monumental temples. Visit The Valley of the Kings, where tombs were cut deep into the desert cliffs and decorated with colorful scenes depicting the journey to the afterlife. You will tour three tombs, while entry to Tutankhamun’s tomb is available as an optional visit. Next, continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut, a striking multi-level structure built into the limestone cliffs at Deir el-Bahari. End with the Colossi of Memnon, the enduring statues of Amenhotep III. Return to the cruise for lunch, then sail toward Esna. Relax on the sundeck and experience passing through Esna Lock. Dinner is served on board, with overnight as the journey continues.

Enjoy breakfast, then head out in Edfu by horse-drawn carriage to the Edfu Temple, famed for its exceptional preservation. Walk beneath its commanding entrance and admire the detailed reliefs and the inner sanctuary once reserved for the highest priests. Return to the cruise for lunch and sail along the scenic Nile banks. Later, arrive at Kom Ombo to explore the distinctive double Kom Ombo Temple honoring Sobek and Horus the Elder. View unusual carvings, including depictions of surgical tools, and visit the nearby Crocodile Mummification Museum. Continue sailing to Aswan City, then enjoy dinner and a quiet evening on board.

Wake up in Aswan and set off with your guide to see the city’s most important sights. Begin at The High Dam Of Egypt, the modern engineering project that created Lake Nasser and reshaped Egypt’s water management. Then take a motorboat to the Temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis and relocated to Agilkia Island. Afterward, visit the Unfinished Obelisk in Aswan’s granite quarries to understand the ancient methods used to carve massive monuments. Return to the cruise for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy free time or choose an optional felucca ride on the Nile. Dinner is served on board as you spend the evening in Aswan’s peaceful atmosphere.

Your Nile journey ends after disembarkation, concluding an unforgettable voyage through Upper Egypt.
