Itinerary

Day 1: Luxor East Bank

Arrive in Luxor City and meet our representative, who will assist you with embarkation on the MS Le Fayan Nile Cruise. Once you are settled in, enjoy lunch on board. In the afternoon, head out to visit the Karnak Temple Complex, an extraordinary collection of chapels, pylons, and sacred lakes that formed the religious heart of ancient Thebes. Continue to Luxor Temple, standing proudly within the modern city yet rich with pharaonic history. Return to the cruise for tea on the sun deck as the sun sets over the Nile. Dinner is served on board, and you will spend a quiet evening docked in Luxor.

Day 2: Luxor West Bank & Sailing to Esna

Start the day with breakfast on board, then set off to explore the West Bank of Luxor, the ancient necropolis of kings and nobles. Visit The Valley of the Kings, where royal tombs are hidden among the desert cliffs. Continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut, an impressive structure built into the mountainside, and finish with a stop at the Colossi of Memnon for photos. Return to the cruise for lunch and begin sailing toward Esna, watching the lush riverbanks shift into timeless rural scenery. Experience passing through the Esna Lock, a memorable part of the route. Tea, sunset views, and dinner on board complete the day.

Day 3: Edfu & Kom Ombo

Set out early to visit the Edfu Temple, widely regarded as Egypt’s most complete and best-preserved ancient temple. Reach the site by horse-drawn carriage for a classic local touch. Return to the ship for breakfast, then continue sailing to Kom Ombo. On arrival, tour the distinctive Twin Temple of Kom Ombo of Sobek and Horus, devoted to both the crocodile and falcon deities. Nearby, visit the Crocodile Mummification Museum, which displays preserved crocodiles once revered as sacred. Back on board, enjoy dinner followed by a festive Galabiya Party with traditional attire and live music as the cruise continues toward Aswan.

Day 4: Aswan Highlights

After breakfast, join your guided tour to Aswan’s top landmarks. Begin at The High Dam Of Egypt, an engineering achievement that reshaped Egypt’s relationship with the Nile. Then take a boat to the Temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis and relocated stone by stone to protect it from rising waters. Continue to the Unfinished Obelisk, still lying in the granite quarry and offering insight into ancient construction methods. Return to the ship for lunch. The afternoon is free to relax, or you may choose an optional felucca ride on the Nile or a visit to Aswan’s Botanical Garden, known for its peaceful island setting and diverse plant life. Dinner is followed by a cultural show on board featuring Nubian music and dance.

Day 5: Disembarkation or Optional Abu Simbel Tour
