Day 1: Boarding in Luxor & Exploring the Temples of the East Bank

Your Nile voyage begins in Luxor City as you board Dahabeya Farouz El Nil 1 and settle into your refined cabin with sweeping views of the river. Once you are comfortably checked in, enjoy your first lunch on board, freshly prepared while the dahabiya rests along the Luxor riverbank. Later in the day, join your Egyptologist guide for a visit to Karnak Temple, famed for its vast sacred complex, towering columns, and impressive open-air courts. Continue onward to Luxor Temple, where monumental statues and carved walls create a powerful setting for discovering the stories of ancient Thebes. After the visits, return to the dahabiya for a peaceful evening by the Nile, followed by dinner on board and an overnight stay in Luxor. Meals: Lunch, Dinner Overnight: Luxor

Day 2: West Bank Wonders & Serene Sailing to Esna

Following breakfast, head to Luxor’s West Bank to explore the legendary burial grounds of rulers and nobles. Begin at The Valley of the Kings, where renowned royal tombs lie hidden within the desert hills. Continue to the Colossi of Memnon, the enormous seated statues that have watched over the Theban landscape for millennia, and then visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, dramatically set against the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Once the West Bank touring is complete, return to Farouz El Nil to start sailing toward Esna. Spend the hours unwinding on the sun deck as the scenery shifts from cultivated fields to riverside villages. Lunch is served on board, and you will also enjoy traditional afternoon tea while the dahabiya glides steadily along the Nile. In the evening, enjoy dinner on board, then relax for the night as the vessel docks in Esna. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight: Esna

Day 3: Temple of Edfu & Sailing to Kom Ombo

Start early as the dahabiya continues sailing toward Edfu. Have breakfast on board while watching the Nile’s landscapes unfold—green farmlands, quiet islands, and desert edges meeting the water. On arrival in Edfu, travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Edfu Temple, celebrated as Egypt’s best-preserved temple and dedicated to Horus, the falcon god. Walk through its grand gateways and halls to appreciate the remarkably intact reliefs and sacred spaces. Return to the dahabiya for lunch as the sailing resumes, now heading toward Kom Ombo. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure on deck with tea and wide river views, especially beautiful as the sun begins to lower. Dinner is served on board, and you will spend the night in Kom Ombo. Day 4: Kom Ombo Temple & Sailing to the Heart of Aswan

After breakfast, disembark to visit the Kom Ombo Temple, an unusual double sanctuary honoring Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. Take time to view the temple’s carvings and then explore the crocodile mummy museum located beside the site. Rejoin Farouz El Nil and continue the sail toward Aswan. Lunch is enjoyed on board as the landscape gradually changes, with palm groves and granite outcrops signaling your approach to the southern city. In the afternoon, tour Aswan’s key highlights: The High Dam Of Egypt, an iconic modern engineering project; the Unfinished Obelisk, offering insight into ancient stone-working methods; and the Temple Of Philae, beautifully moved to Agilkia Island. Return to the dahabiya for dinner amid Aswan’s relaxed riverside atmosphere. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight: Aswan
