Upon arrival in Aswan City, you will be met and assisted, then transferred to board the Sonesta Moon Goddess Nile Cruise. Check-in is available before noon. After enjoying lunch on board, set out for an afternoon of sightseeing beginning with The High Dam Of Egypt, a landmark achievement that reshaped the Nile’s flow and transformed the region.

Start the day with breakfast on board as the cruise sails toward Kom Ombo. Visit the distinctive double Kom Ombo Temple dedicated to Sobek (the crocodile god) and Haroeris (Horus the Elder), noted for its balanced layout and fascinating carvings connected to mythology, ancient medicine, and timekeeping. Continue sailing to Edfu, with lunch served on board while you take in the changing Nile scenery. Later, ride by horse-drawn carriage to the Edfu Temple, widely regarded as the best-preserved temple in Egypt, with imposing pylons and detailed reliefs recounting Horus’s struggle against Seth. Return to the ship for dinner, followed by an Egyptian folkloric show presented by the crew.

After breakfast, arrive in Luxor and head to the West Bank of Thebes for a guided exploration of its legendary monuments. On the return, pause to view the Colossi of Memnon, the towering statues that once guarded a vast, now-vanished temple complex. Back on board, enjoy lunch and a free afternoon to relax, perhaps on the sun deck. Dinner is served on board as the cruise remains docked in Luxor for the night.
