Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Luxor – Karnak & Luxor Temples

Arrive in Luxor City and begin your Acamar Nile Cruise journey with a warm welcome and onboard check-in before lunch. Enjoy a freshly prepared meal on the ship, then set off with your Egyptologist guide to explore the Karnak Temple Complex. Walk along the Avenue of Sphinxes, admire the immense columns, and discover sacred areas dedicated to Amun-Ra. Later, visit Luxor Temple, glowing in the afternoon light and showcasing layers of history across Pharaonic, Greco-Roman, Christian, and Islamic eras. Return to the cruise for tea on the sundeck, followed by dinner and an overnight stay on board. Meals: Lunch, Dinner Overnight: Luxor

Day 2: Luxor West Bank – Tombs & Temples | Sail to Esna

In the morning, head to Luxor’s West Bank to visit The Valley of the Kings, where you will enter three royal tombs decorated with colorful afterlife scenes. Continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut, an extraordinary multi-level structure set against the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Before returning to the ship, stop at the Colossi of Memnon. Enjoy lunch on board as the MS Acamar Nile Cruise sails toward Esna. Relax as you pass through the Esna Lock, then enjoy dinner while continuing the peaceful journey toward Edfu. Day 3: Temples of Edfu & Kom Ombo

After breakfast, disembark in Edfu and ride by carriage to the Edfu Temple , widely regarded as Egypt’s best-preserved ancient temple. Explore its impressive spaces and the detailed reliefs that still cover many of its walls. Return to the Acamar Cruise for lunch, then sail onward to Kom Ombo. Visit the Kom Ombo Temple, famous for its perfect symmetry and its dedication to Sobek and Horus the Elder. Nearby, the Crocodile Mummification Museum offers an intriguing look at the cult of Sobek. Day 4: Aswan’s Highlights – Temples & Engineering Marvels

Begin the day with guided visits to Aswan’s top sights. Start at The High Dam Of Egypt, a landmark of modern engineering, then continue to Temple Of Philae, devoted to Isis and relocated with UNESCO’s involvement. Next, visit the Unfinished Obelisk, still resting in the granite quarries and offering clear insight into ancient carving techniques. Return to the cruise for lunch, then enjoy the afternoon at leisure or take a peaceful felucca ride. Dinner is served on board, and you will stay overnight in Aswan. Day 5: Farewell from the Acamar Nile Cruise & Optional Abu Simbel Visit

After breakfast, check out and disembark in Aswan, marking the end of your time on the MS Acamar Nile Cruise. If you wish to extend your experience, an optional tour to the Abu Simbel Temples is available. At Abu Simbel, witness the monumental temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari, carved into the mountainside and famously aligned with the rising sun.
